MRI Technologist in Tinley Park, IL

Schedule:

• Primarily 11:30 am – 8:00 pm on weekdays, with some weekday shifts 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
• Weekend shifts: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (every other weekend rotation)
• On-call coverage: Weekday on-call from 8:00 pm – 6:30 am (rotational)
• Weekend on-call from 4:00 pm – 7:30 am (rotational)

Qualifications:

• Certification by ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT required
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proven experience as an MRI Technologist with strong technical proficiency
• Skillful in positioning patients and operating MRI equipment safely and effectively
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to adapt to flexible and rotating schedules, including call shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic MRI procedures following established protocols and safety guidelines
• Accurately position patients and explain procedures to maximize patient comfort
• Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment, ensuring high image quality
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to interpret and verify imaging results
• Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures
• Adhere to safety standards to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure
• Participate in department meetings and ongoing education opportunities
