MRI Technologist in Waterford, CT

Advance your career in medical imaging as an experienced MRI Technologist at a busy short-term acute care Level III trauma center. This contract role offers the chance to work with advanced imaging equipment and a dedicated clinical team, delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Five 8-hour evening shifts per week (14:15 – 23:15)
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• 40 hours weekly

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified MRI Technologist (national certification required; state licensure not required)
• Prior experience with MRI procedures in a healthcare setting
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system strongly preferred
• Ability to float between sites as needed and adapt to varied workflows
• Strong patient communication and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality MRI imaging examinations following department protocols
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout each procedure
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to provide timely, accurate diagnostic results
• Maintain thorough and accurate records within the EPIC electronic health record system
• Provide service at multiple centers as required, supporting continuity of care
• Adhere to facility guidelines and infection control standards, especially in a trauma center environment
• Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including participation in holidays and weekend rotations
