MRI Technologist | Waukee, Iowa

If you are an MRI Technologist experienced in advanced imaging and seeking a contract opportunity, this position could be an excellent match for your background. You’ll have the chance to work in a dynamic environment utilizing state-of-the-art Siemens and GE MRI equipment, serving a diverse patient mix from the emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts, days (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., 40 hours/week)
• Call rotation: one weeknight & one weekend (Friday/Saturday) every 10th weekend

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Proficient in MRI technology and imaging techniques
• Previous experience performing MRI scans in a hospital or busy clinical setting preferred
• Familiarity with power injection contrast procedures
• Comfortable working with electronic medical records—EPIC experience is advantageous
• Willingness to float among multiple campuses as needed
• Charcoal gray scrubs required
• Compliance with facility’s employee separation policy (specific eligibility applies)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI scanners (GE and Siemens) to obtain high-quality images
• Care for ED, inpatient, and outpatient populations, adapting technique as necessary
• Administer contrast injections as ordered
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process
• Accurately document all procedures in EPIC
• Collaborate with clinical staff and radiologists to ensure optimal imaging outcomes
• Participate in call rotation as assigned
