MRI Technologist | Weaverville, North Carolina

An immediate opportunity is available for an MRI Technologist to provide essential imaging support on a contract basis. This position offers the chance to work alongside a collaborative team of MRI professionals utilizing advanced GE equipment and Cerner EMR systems. The team consists of nine staff members, and this role ensures a dynamic, supportive environment dedicated to patient-centered care.

Schedule & Duration

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–10:30pm; Saturday–Sunday, 8:30am–4:30pm
• Rotating weekends required

Qualifications

• MRI registration required
• Current MRI certification
• Strong proficiency operating GE imaging equipment
• Experience with MRI contrast and non-contrast procedures
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Preferred Experience

• Breast MRI imaging experience highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all routine MRI imaging procedures, including contrast and non-contrast exams
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality and timely diagnostic results
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout procedures
• Ensure accurate documentation and image management within the Cerner EMR system
• Adhere strictly to department protocols and dress code (black scrubs)
• Contribute positively to patient experience and team dynamics
