A skilled MRI professional is needed to provide high-quality imaging services within a respected healthcare facility. The contract is set for 13 weeks, beginning on October 28, 2024, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm—no call and no holiday coverage required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a formal training program at an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Current New York State licensure
- Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI
- Experience working with advanced MRI equipment and protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with physicians and care teams
- Ability to prioritize patient safety and comfort
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures as prescribed by ordering physicians, adhering strictly to established protocols and safety standards
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, providing reassurance and clear instructions throughout the process
- Operate MRI equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and minimizing patient discomfort
- Evaluate imaging results for clarity and completeness before submitting them to radiologists or physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with medical and support staff to provide coordinated, efficient care
- Contribute to ongoing quality assurance and process improvement initiatives
