Seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a contract opportunity specializing in diagnostic imaging. The position operates Monday through Friday with a 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM schedule, making it perfect for those looking for afternoon and evening work hours.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification as MRI Technologist through ARMRIT or ARRT
  • Prior experience performing MRI scans in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, patient positioning, and MRI safety practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
  • Detail-oriented and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Connecticut radiology license is not required for this opening

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for MRI scans with emphasis on safety and comfort
  • Operate MRI equipment to capture accurate images per physician orders
  • Confirm patient identity and answer questions to alleviate concerns prior to procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure optimal imaging outcomes
  • Document procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with facility protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the MRI suite
  • Monitor equipment function and promptly report any issues
