MRI Technologist in Westland, MI

A skilled MRI technologist is needed to provide high-quality imaging services on a contract basis. The shifts for this position are 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Monday. The weekend assignments take place at one site, while your Monday shift will be at a nearby location; adaptability to work across these facilities is expected.

Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment safely to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing questions
• Screen patients for MRI safety and ensure compliance with protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to review and assess imaging needs
• Document findings and procedures accurately in electronic medical records
• Monitor equipment function and report maintenance needs
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and infection control standards at all times

Qualifications:

• Current ARRT (MRI) certification or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience as an MRI technologist in a clinical or hospital setting
• Comprehensive knowledge of MRI safety, procedures, and protocols
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, with a focus on quality patient care
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities
• Flexibility to work the structured weekend and Monday evening schedule as outlined
