Bring your passion for nutrition and clinical excellence to a dynamic healthcare environment, where you’ll make a difference each day as a Multi-Modality Imaging Tech and Dietitian. This contract opportunity is for a 13-week assignment providing essential nutritional guidance and support to patients and multidisciplinary teams.
Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible shifts: 4x10 hour shifts, 5x8 hour shifts, or a tailored combination
- Start and end times are negotiable to fit your preferences
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian with at least 1 year of recent full-time experience (within past 5 years) in an acute care, nursing home, or inpatient rehab/LTACH setting; applicants with 1 year of less recent experience (within past 8 years) in qualifying settings will be considered
- ICU experience highly preferred
- Experience required in acute care, nursing home, or inpatient rehab/LTACH settings
- Skilled in NFPE (Nutrition Focused Physical Exam)
- Proficiency with enteral and parenteral nutrition support
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a nutritional consultant and resource to health care teams
- Provide comprehensive nutrition care, including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, counseling, education, and outcome evaluation for patients and families
- Analyze medical records, patient/family histories, and data to customize nutrition therapy
- Develop and implement nutrition interventions, including meal planning, education, and coordination of care
- Monitor and report patient progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Educate patients and families about therapeutic and special diets during hospitalization and discharge
- Maintain excellent, timely documentation and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Plan and present in-services, community programs, and educational seminars
- Mentor and guide dietetic interns/students
- Collaborate closely with culinary wellness, foodservice, and clinical colleagues
