Step into a dynamic leadership role in a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital environment as an Imaging Supervisor overseeing multi-modality and X-ray operations. This contract opportunity is tailored for radiology professionals ready to guide high-performing teams during the busiest hours of patient care.
Schedule and Shift Details:
- 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 am – 7:00 pm
- 36 hours per week
- Every weekend schedule—weekend position
- Holiday coverage required if on scheduled shift
- No on-call or floating outside the radiology department—supervise across X-ray areas and portables within the facility
Qualifications & Desired Background:
- ARRT-R credential and current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care, trauma-level (I, II, or III) radiology experience; Level I experience highly preferred
- At least 1 year of proven radiology leadership (in a Lead Tech, Supervisor, Manager, or Director capacity)
- Proficiency in general X-ray, C-arm operation (O-arm experience a plus), and experience with EPIC EMR
- Confident, adaptable clinical leader with strong communication, real-time decision-making, and team-building abilities
- Comfortable assisting with onboarding, coaching, scheduling, and addressing workflow issues as they arise
- Strong willingness to work collaboratively with physicians, MD residents, fellows, and other radiology staff
- Open to precepting radiology students based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day radiology operations across multiple modalities and high-acuity settings
- Oversee scheduling, call adjustments, and staff coordination for 12+ technologists during weekends
- Participate in hands-on imaging work, especially in trauma, OR, and pediatric cases
- Ensure swift, effective communication and escalation when required within the department
- Assist with onboarding and ongoing coaching for new and existing staff
