Schedule Options:
- Choose from 4x10 hour shifts, 5x8 hour shifts, or a combination—enjoy flexible start and stop times.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent, full-time Registered Dietitian experience (within the past 5 years) in acute care, nursing home, inpatient rehab, or LTACH setting.
- Consideration for candidates with 1 year of less recent full-time RD experience (within the last 8 years) in these settings on a case-by-case basis.
- Trained in the completion of Nutrition-Focused Physical Exam (NFPE).
- Strong experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition.
- Imaging expertise across multiple modalities.
- Preferred: Experience caring for ICU patients.
- Demonstrated history of collaboration and communication within interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat nutritional concerns using patient/family input, clinical data, and nutrition-focused physical findings.
- Implement individualized nutrition interventions and therapies, including food/nutrient delivery, counseling, and patient education.
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and continuously update care plans.
- Act as a nutrition consultant and resource for healthcare team members.
- Educate patients and caregivers about special diets for optimal health post-discharge.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and outcomes.
- Develop and conduct educational seminars and in-service classes.
- Supervise dietetic interns/students and collaborate with culinary/wellness teams.
- Remain current with best practices and participate in ongoing professional education.
