Supervisor Multimodality Technologist in Matthews, NC

An opportunity is available for a skilled Imaging Supervisor with multi-modality experience, including general X-ray, in a fast-paced, high-acuity teaching hospital setting. This contract position is structured around 12-hour day shifts (6:30 am - 7:00 pm), 36 hours/week, with a focus on weekend coverage. The role offers a collaborative environment within a Level I Trauma and Pediatric Trauma Center, supporting both adult and pediatric patients—including neonates—across a diverse range of radiology exams.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 am – 7:00 pm
• Weekend position: all weekends required
• Holiday duties aligned with regular scheduled shifts
• No on-call or call back; floating limited to different x-ray areas and portables

Qualifications:

• ARRT-R credential and BLS certification required
• At least 2 years of acute care radiology experience, ideally in a Level I Trauma setting
• 1+ year of leadership experience in radiology (Lead Tech, Supervisor, Manager, or Director)
• C-arm experience required; O-arm experience preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Strong communication, real-time problem solving, and team leadership skills
• Experience with trauma patients and ability to precept students preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the radiology department
• Create and manage schedules; adjust staffing in real-time as needed
• Coach team members and address performance issues promptly
• Assist with onboarding new staff
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide hands-on support in main radiology, ED, and OR as required
• Carry supervisor phone and serve as a go-to leader for escalations
