Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Anderson, SC

Deliver vital diagnostic support to patients as a nuclear medicine imaging professional on a contract basis. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid certification or registration in nuclear medicine technology
• Proven experience operating nuclear imaging equipment (SPECT, PET, gamma cameras, etc.)
• Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols
• Ability to interpret physician orders and select appropriate imaging procedures
• Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate, detail-oriented approach
• Compliance with all regulatory and accrediting standards

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare, administer, and document radioactive tracers for patient imaging studies
• Conduct and monitor nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to protocols
• Ensure patient comfort and explanation of procedures throughout each exam
• Maintain accurate patient records and produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Troubleshoot and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members
