Your expertise in nuclear medicine will support physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions using state-of-the-art technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current certification by the ARRT (N) or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Valid and active state license in Nuclear Medicine Technology (if applicable)
- Proven experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment (including PET/CT, SPECT)
- Proficiency in administering radioactive pharmaceuticals and conducting imaging procedures
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to radiation and hazardous materials
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain meticulous attention to detail
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures as ordered by physicians
- Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor patient condition and ensure comfort and safety during imaging procedures
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment following manufacturer and facility guidelines
- Accurately document patient information, imaging results, and maintain thorough records
- Adhere to facility protocols and state/federal regulations for the safe handling and disposal of radioactive materials
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers on procedure outcomes and best practices
