Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification and registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N required)
- Demonstrated experience in acquiring and processing nuclear medicine images for diagnostic purposes
- Proficiency in handling and preparing radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety regulations
- Familiarity with a variety of nuclear medicine equipment and imaging protocols
- Knowledge of patient preparation and post-procedure instructions tailored for nuclear medicine studies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and collaborating with medical staff
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Compliance with state licensure and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established protocols
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and imaging results
- Maintain and calibrate nuclear medicine equipment, observing all radiation safety standards
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely, monitoring and recording patient reactions
- Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to ensure accurate and timely imaging interpretations
- Provide compassionate care and clear explanations to patients throughout each procedure
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all infection control policies
