Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT-N).
  • Valid, unencumbered professional license as required.
  • Demonstrated experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment (gamma cameras, PET/CT, SPECT).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of radiopharmaceutical preparation, dosage, and administration protocols.
  • Strong attention to safety standards including radiation protection and quality assurance practices.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nuclear medicine imaging procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring optimal image quality and accurate diagnostic results.
  • Safely prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established guidelines.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, documenting all relevant clinical information.
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other staff to facilitate efficient workflow and superior patient outcomes.
  • Complete accurate and timely patient records, including procedure documentation and inventory management.
