Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) | Cooperstown, New York

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Nuclear Medicine/PET CT Technologist to make a difference in a collaborative imaging department for a 13-week contract. This position calls for a highly skilled professional with dual certification who will be using a GE Discovery IQ scanner to deliver exceptional patient care. The role runs on a 4x10 schedule, covering Tuesday through Friday day shifts, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Schedule:

• 4x10 hour shifts: Tuesday – Friday, day shift

Qualifications:

• Dual certification required: NMTCB or ARRT(N) AND ARRT(R), ARRT(CT), or NMTCB(CT)
• Valid NY State licenses for both Nuclear Medicine and Radiology
• Proven experience operating GE Discovery IQ or comparable GE imaging equipment
• Advanced skills and recent experience in Nuclear Medicine, CT/PET Technology, and Nuclear Med Tech roles
• Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, quality assurance standards, and radiation safety best practices
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, PET/CT scans using GE Discovery IQ
• Operate advanced imaging equipment and ensure accurate image acquisition
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety regulations
• Maintain meticulous documentation and patient records
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, providers, and other team members to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Follow strict safety guidelines and infection control protocols
