Embark on an exciting 13-week assignment as a Nuclear Med/PET CT Technologist, specializing in both nuclear medicine and advanced PET/CT imaging. This role is essential in providing high-quality diagnostic images and ensuring exceptional patient care for a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule:
- 4x10-hour shifts (days)
- Tuesday through Friday, day shift
Key Qualifications:
- Experience operating a GE Discovery IQ scanner is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in both nuclear medicine and CT/PET technologies.
- Must be dual certified: NMTCB or ARRT(N) AND ARRT(R), ARRT(CT), or NMTCB(CT).
- Active and valid New York State licenses in Nuclear Medicine AND Radiology.
- Thorough understanding of safety standards and protocols related to radiology and nuclear medicine.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to patient comfort and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Operate GE Discovery IQ PET/CT equipment to capture precise nuclear medicine and CT images.
- Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals with meticulous attention to safety and accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal imaging results.
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure strict compliance with all regulatory and procedural guidelines.
- Monitor and care for patients throughout procedures, providing a reassuring presence and answering questions.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and assist with equipment maintenance as needed.
