Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT or ARRT-N required)
  • Previous experience in nuclear medicine imaging
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting nuclear medicine equipment
  • Knowledge of radiation safety standards and procedures
  • Current BLS certification
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders and department protocols
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of images while maintaining patient comfort and safety
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required for diagnostic procedures
  • Accurately document patient records, imaging results, and procedure details
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions to appropriate personnel
  • Uphold all safety and infection control standards
  • Provide clear instructions and explanations to patients and answer any questions regarding procedures
