Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or registry as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT(N) or NMTCB)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Previous clinical experience in medical imaging and nuclear medicine procedures
  • Proficient in operation and maintenance of nuclear medicine and PET imaging equipment
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and care coordination

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and current clinical guidelines
  • Operate imaging equipment to generate high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation
  • Ensure consistent adherence to safety measures for radiation protection
  • Maintain accurate patient records and technical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Analyze images, assist with physician review, and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions as needed
  • Contribute to equipment maintenance routines and inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and related supplies
