Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active certification by ARRT or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)
- Current BLS certification
- 1 or more years of nuclear medicine experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma setting
- Radiology license in Illinois (candidates with a pending license in progress will be considered)
- Proficient in conducting a variety of nuclear medicine procedures with attention to accuracy and patient safety
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging using radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and established protocols
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely, monitoring for any adverse effects
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards
- Document procedures accurately in patient records and imaging systems
- Uphold strict adherence to radiation safety and patient privacy
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver high-quality diagnostic results
- Guide and educate patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
