Seeking an experienced professional to independently manage all aspects of Nuclear Medicine services within a specialized department. This contract position is designed for a self-reliant technologist skilled in Nuclear Medicine who can confidently oversee daily operations, QC protocols, and compliance activities. You’ll be utilizing a Siemens E Gamma Camera and standard Hot Lab equipment, ensuring consistent, reliable imaging services in a low-volume clinical environment.

Schedule:

  • 36 hours per week
  • 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday
  • Enjoy Fridays off and no on-call requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensed/certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a Nuclear Medicine department
  • Familiarity with Siemens E Gamma Camera and standard nuclear medicine lab equipment
  • Proficiency in conducting Monthly Quality Control (QC) and Leak Tests
  • Willingness and ability to attend Quarterly Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) meetings
  • Previous experience managing low to moderate volume nuclear medicine workloads
  • Versatility with CT imaging is highly preferred, offering the opportunity for broader responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and interpret Nuclear Medicine Stress Tests and General NM studies (anticipated weekly volume: 3-4 stress tests, 1-2 general studies)
  • Oversee Hot Lab activities, including equipment setup, patient preparation, and imaging procedures
  • Maintain compliance by performing QC, leak tests, and completing associated documentation
  • Collaborate with leadership and attend required regulatory meetings
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Nuclear Medicine-related services in the department
