Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N).
- Demonstrated proficiency in imaging protocols, equipment operation, and safety standards related to nuclear medicine.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting performing nuclear medicine procedures preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow complex procedural guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for imaging procedures.
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic scans.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Accurately document and report examination results to physicians.
- Manage equipment calibration and quality control processes.
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide clear explanations and reassurance to patients prior to and during imaging studies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to coordinate patient care.
