A Nuclear Medicine technologist role is available for a contract position in Marietta, GA, offering an opportunity to utilize specialized imaging skills in a clinical setting. This role is ideal for individuals with Nuclear Medicine experience seeking a position with a reputable healthcare provider, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures independently, ensuring safe, age-appropriate patient care.
- Set up equipment and position patients according to department protocols.
- Verify clinician orders and patient identity using two unique identifiers.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and in accordance with established procedures.
- Review and release quality diagnostic images, maintaining communication with physicians and patients.
- Respond to emergencies, maintain life-support equipment, and restock crash carts as needed.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and adhere to departmental and hospital-wide training requirements.
- Clean and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control policies.
- Collaborate effectively with mobile PET imaging vendors to facilitate patient throughput.
- Provide mentoring and training support to fellow Nuclear Medicine staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine program.
- Certified in Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) or ARRT-N certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience.
- Proficiency with Philips ADAC Forte camera, Epic, and PACS systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
