Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Mechanicsburg, PA

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, your expertise in PETCT imaging will be pivotal in a dynamic and high-volume department. This contract opportunity offers 13 weeks of hands-on experience, where your ability to manage a busy workflow and perform advanced diagnostic procedures will be utilized to its fullest. The department features a single PETCT scanner handling up to 23 patients per day, with no on-call or weekend expectations.

Schedule:

• Start date: June 2nd (possibility of an earlier start)
• Day shift hours, Monday through Friday
• 5 days per week, totaling 40 hours weekly
• No call duty or holiday coverage required

Qualifications:

• Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (CNMT, NMTCB, or ARRT(NM))
• Demonstrated proficiency with IV starts and oral/IV contrast administration
• Experience using the MEDRAD FDG Injector
• Previous Hot Lab knowledge essential
• Expertise in performing and interpreting a variety of PETCT scans, including but not limited to:
  • Skull base to midthigh and whole body PETCT (with and without contrast)
  • Specialized scans: infection, PSMA, NET, Cerianna, Brain Amyvid, sarcoidosis, myocardial perfusion

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage day-to-day imaging operations, maintaining workflow for up to 23 patients daily
• Administer and monitor contrast agents
• Conduct patient scanning in accordance with established protocols
• Maintain Hot Lab safety and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with department staff and radiologists to ensure optimal patient care
