Key Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N or NMTCB)
  • Demonstrated experience in performing a wide range of nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners
  • Detailed knowledge of radiation safety standards and quality control protocols
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols, ensuring accurate, high-quality images for physician review
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients
  • Monitor and evaluate image quality, troubleshooting technical issues as needed
  • Uphold rigorous standards for patient safety and radiation protection
  • Accurately maintain patient records and manage documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure exceptional patient care
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance and equipment calibration
