Responsibilities include performing Nuclear Medicine procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic images, and upholding all safety protocols to protect patients and staff. You will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate state-of-the-art imaging equipment, and monitor patients throughout their exams. Collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure precise image interpretation and optimal patient outcomes.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT or ARRT-N)
  • Demonstrated experience with nuclear medicine imaging and related equipment
  • In-depth knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory guidelines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in documenting and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting

Preferred experience:

  • Previous contract or travel assignment in a hospital or imaging center
  • Experience with a wide array of nuclear medicine procedures

Key duties:

  • Prepare radionuclide pharmaceuticals and perform diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Accurately position patients and ensure comfort and safety throughout each procedure
  • Maintain equipment, troubleshoot simple issues, and coordinate necessary maintenance
  • Communicate findings efficiently to radiologists and referring providers
  • Adhere to infection control standards and documentation protocols
