Key Qualifications:

• Current certification/registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N, NMTCB, or equivalent)
• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Proven experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and performing relevant procedures
• Competence in preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals safely
• Thorough understanding of radiation safety protocols and quality control procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and communicate effectively with patients

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT and PET scans, under physician guidance
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients adhering to all safety guidelines
• Monitor and assess patient condition before, during, and after procedures
• Accurately document all procedures and maintain records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal operation
• Follow strict procedures for handling and disposing of radioactive materials
• Provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
