Key Qualifications:
- Current certification/registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N, NMTCB, or equivalent)
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Proven experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and performing relevant procedures
- Competence in preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals safely
- Thorough understanding of radiation safety protocols and quality control procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and communicate effectively with patients
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT and PET scans, under physician guidance
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients adhering to all safety guidelines
- Monitor and assess patient condition before, during, and after procedures
- Accurately document all procedures and maintain records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Follow strict procedures for handling and disposing of radioactive materials
- Provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
