Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a wide range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer radioactive isotopes in accordance with established protocols and monitor patients throughout procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to communicate findings and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment by following regulatory and safety standards.
  • Accurately document procedures, maintain comprehensive records, and protect patient confidentiality.
  • Educate patients about procedures, addressing their questions to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Participate in quality assurance, equipment calibration, and ongoing departmental improvements.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Schedule provided prior to assignment and tailored for optimal work-life balance.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or registry in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT(N) or NMTCB preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment in a clinical setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiation protection policies and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and professionalism when working with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
