Responsibilities:
- Conduct a wide range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer radioactive isotopes in accordance with established protocols and monitor patients throughout procedures.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to communicate findings and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment by following regulatory and safety standards.
- Accurately document procedures, maintain comprehensive records, and protect patient confidentiality.
- Educate patients about procedures, addressing their questions to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Participate in quality assurance, equipment calibration, and ongoing departmental improvements.
Schedule/Hours:
- Schedule provided prior to assignment and tailored for optimal work-life balance.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or registry in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT(N) or NMTCB preferred).
- Demonstrated experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment in a clinical setting.
- In-depth knowledge of radiation protection policies and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
- Adaptability and professionalism when working with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
