Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification required
- IL state radiology license (pending license accepted if in progress)
- 1+ year of experience in nuclear medicine or a related imaging role
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting preferred
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapeutic procedures
- Operate and maintain SPECT, PET, and other nuclear medicine equipment to ensure accurate results
- Utilize professional judgment when interpreting physician imaging orders and determining appropriate procedures
- Apply radiation safety and ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principles at all times
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health staff to deliver optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records in accordance with regulatory standards
- Participate in department quality assurance activities
- Educate patients and families regarding exam preparations and expectations
