Qualifications:

• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification required
• IL state radiology license (pending license accepted if in progress)
• 1+ year of experience in nuclear medicine or a related imaging role
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting preferred

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapeutic procedures
• Operate and maintain SPECT, PET, and other nuclear medicine equipment to ensure accurate results
• Utilize professional judgment when interpreting physician imaging orders and determining appropriate procedures
• Apply radiation safety and ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principles at all times
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health staff to deliver optimal patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records in accordance with regulatory standards
• Participate in department quality assurance activities
• Educate patients and families regarding exam preparations and expectations
