Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures with precision and care.
  • Support and collaborate with other imaging technologists to optimize patient flow.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols when handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and participate in quality assurance activities.
  • Manage image processing and archiving, ensuring scanned exams are accurately stored.
  • Act as a PACS superuser during downtime and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in line with organizational values.
  • Adapt patient care methods to meet diverse cultural and developmental needs.
  • Comply with all regulatory standards established by federal and state agencies.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working different shifts or locations as required.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology certification (ARRT or NMTCB) required.
  • State licensure such as Louisiana LRT (N) or (F) by LSRTBE mandatory.
  • Basic computer skills and experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred (minimum 1 year).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
