Advance your career in advanced medical imaging with an opportunity to provide essential care and diagnostic support in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract position spans 13 weeks, focusing on Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging using state-of-the-art equipment.

Schedule:

  • 4x10-hour shifts each week
  • Tuesday through Friday, day shift

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating GE Discovery IQ or similar GE imaging systems required
  • Dual certification is mandatory:
    • NMTCB or ARRT(N) and
    • ARRT(R), ARRT(CT), or NMTCB(CT)
  • Valid New York State licenses in both Nuclear Medicine and Radiology
  • Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine/PET CT Tech
  • Demonstrated expertise with advanced nuclear medicine and PET/CT protocols

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Operate GE Discovery IQ and related imaging equipment with precision and efficiency
  • Ensure the highest quality diagnostic images while adhering to safety guidelines for radiation exposure and patient care
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required for diagnostic purposes
  • Accurately document patient information, procedures performed, and report any unusual results promptly
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate routine quality assurance checks
