A skilled imaging professional with expertise in Nuclear Medicine is needed for a contract assignment. This role is essential for delivering high-quality nuclear medicine imaging studies and ensuring comprehensive patient care. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic hospital environment and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a clinical team under the direction of departmental leadership.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
- On call: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday until 6:00pm
- Weekend rotation: None
- Holiday coverage required if shift coincides with a holiday
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARDMS, NMTCB, or ARRT-N) required
- Completion of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, radiopharmaceutical preparation, and imaging protocols
- Previous experience performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and colleagues
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental policies
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring patient safety and procedural accuracy
- Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after imaging studies
- Accurately record and report results to physicians and ensure complete patient documentation
- Maintain equipment, follow radiation safety standards, and assist with quality control checks
- Remain flexible and responsive to departmental needs, including fulfilling on-call and holiday coverage requirements
