Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Operate SPECT, PET, and hybrid scanners to produce clear, precise medical images.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver timely reports and images.
- Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Perform quality control checks on equipment and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Accurately document patient histories, imaging processes, and test results in electronic health records.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any emergent situations.
- Educate patients and families about procedures and safety precautions.
Qualifications:
- Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB or ARRT-N credentialing preferred).
- Registered or eligible as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Demonstrated experience performing both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine studies.
- Proficiency working with modern imaging equipment and digital health records.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and OSHA guidelines.
- Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
