Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) - San Mateo, California

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, contract assignment

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Associate degree in diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, or related field required
• At least 1 year of directly related nuclear medicine experience demonstrating increasing responsibility
• California Nuclear Medicine Technology certification (RHN) from CDPH-RHB
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• One of the following: Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine (ARRT[N]) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) from NMTCB
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong knowledge of imaging principles, equipment, and radiation safety standards
• Experience with computer systems and PACS

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a full range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures on patients of all ages, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with current radiation safety guidelines
• Assist with therapeutic dose administration and document all relevant activities
• Calibrate, test, and manage imaging equipment to maintain optimal performance
• Maintain thorough records of radiopharmaceutical use and equipment maintenance
• Educate and train students, residents, and staff in protocols, safety, and equipment operation
• Report incidents promptly and collaborate in ongoing safety initiatives
• Ensure studies are scheduled, prioritized, and performed efficiently in coordination with department protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for seamless patient care

$2,935 - $3,094/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
