Qualifications and Experience

  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT or ARRT-NM)
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in nuclear medicine technology
  • Practical experience with nuclear medicine, CT, and PET imaging modalities
  • Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and current best practices
  • Strong attention to detail for performing and interpreting complex diagnostic studies
  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with physicians and care teams
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare setting and remain calm under pressure

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of nuclear medicine, CT, and PET procedures according to established protocols
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents as needed
  • Operate imaging equipment and ensure regular calibration and maintenance
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to deliver precise diagnostic results
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures; provide clear explanations to patients and families
  • Document and maintain accurate imaging records within hospital information systems
  • Uphold all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards
