Qualifications and Experience
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT or ARRT-NM)
- Successful completion of an accredited program in nuclear medicine technology
- Practical experience with nuclear medicine, CT, and PET imaging modalities
- Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and current best practices
- Strong attention to detail for performing and interpreting complex diagnostic studies
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with physicians and care teams
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare setting and remain calm under pressure
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of nuclear medicine, CT, and PET procedures according to established protocols
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents as needed
- Operate imaging equipment and ensure regular calibration and maintenance
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to deliver precise diagnostic results
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures; provide clear explanations to patients and families
- Document and maintain accurate imaging records within hospital information systems
- Uphold all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards
