Required Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nuclear Medicine experience in a clinical healthcare setting
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment strongly preferred
- Current certification by ARRT or NMTCB
- Active Illinois state radiology license (pending accepted with proof of in-progress application)
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Thorough understanding of imaging best practices and patient safety standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring adherence to radiation safety protocols
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals
- Accurately document all procedures, patient histories, and technical results within hospital and regulatory systems
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to support prompt patient care, especially in trauma and emergency situations
- Assist in quality assurance reviews, participate in ongoing department training, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Uphold and model all compliance, infection control, and privacy standards
