Desired Background:

  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Certification by ARRT (N) or NMTCB required
  • Active or pending IL state radiology license
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in Nuclear Medicine
  • Current BLS certification
  • Proven ability to perform in a Level 1 Trauma setting, with strong decision-making and prioritization skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures in compliance with established protocols
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patient responses, ensuring safety and comfort throughout exams
  • Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care
  • Accurately document findings, maintain patient records, and ensure proper handling of confidential information
  • Provide educational support and reassurance to patients regarding procedures and expected outcomes
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control standards in all aspects of imaging
