Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Current certification by ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB required.
  • Valid BLS certification.
  • Proficiency in a variety of nuclear medicine procedures and imaging equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care.
  • Effective communication skills with patients and the clinical team.
  • Prior experience in a hospital or acute care environment preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
  • Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety.
  • Explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support throughout the imaging process.
  • Document findings and maintain accurate patient records following regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards for radiation safety and infection control.
  • Stay current with best practices and advances in nuclear medicine technology.
