Key Responsibilities:
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment to capture quality diagnostic images per physician orders.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patients for safety and proper procedure compliance.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient assessment and care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, dosages, and any pertinent observations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations related to radiation exposure and pharmaceuticals.
- Provide compassionate support to patients and clearly explain imaging procedures.
- Participate in routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Valid certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (e.g., NMTCB or ARRT-N).
- Current state license, if required.
- Strong working knowledge of imaging protocols and safety standards in nuclear medicine.
- Proven ability to operate hot labs, gamma cameras, and SPECT/CT systems efficiently.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital environment is highly preferred.
