Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Current certification by ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB required.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Proficiency in a variety of nuclear medicine procedures and imaging equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care.
- Effective communication skills with patients and the clinical team.
- Prior experience in a hospital or acute care environment preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety.
- Explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support throughout the imaging process.
- Document findings and maintain accurate patient records following regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards for radiation safety and infection control.
- Stay current with best practices and advances in nuclear medicine technology.
