Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT or equivalent)
  • Experience performing a range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures
  • Proficiency with nuclear medicine equipment, radiopharmaceutical preparation, and safety protocols
  • Ability to interpret physician orders and deliver high-quality patient care
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Up-to-date BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nuclear medicine studies according to physician instructions and established protocols
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate imaging equipment with precision
  • Ensure safety measures to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary radiation exposure
  • Assess images for diagnostic quality and identify the need for additional views
  • Accurately document all procedures and maintain patient records
  • Collaborate with radiology and medical staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures
