Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) | West Winfield, New York

Advance your career in medical imaging with an immediate opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine/PET CT Technologist in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position spans 13 weeks and is ideal for professionals who excel in high-tech environments and seek to provide exceptional diagnostic care.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Tuesday through Friday
• Day shift hours

Essential Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Imaging with specialized expertise in Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and general CT.
• Hands-on experience with GE equipment, specifically the Discovery IQ model.
• Dual certification required:
  • NMTCB or ARRT(N) for Nuclear Medicine
  • Plus one of the following: ARRT(R), ARRT(CT), or NMTCB(CT)
• Active New York State licenses in both Nuclear Medicine and Radiology.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work with GE Discovery IQ PET/CT systems.
• Solid background in both PET/CT and nuclear medicine procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating sound clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire high-quality PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine images for physician interpretation.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with protocol and safety standards.
• Ensure patient comfort, explain examination procedures, and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, confirming its safety and accuracy.
• Adhere to all regulatory guidelines, institutional policies, and radiation safety principles.
• Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and collaborate with clinical staff as needed.
