Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program
- State licensure, when applicable
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in diagnostic radiology
- Strong knowledge of imaging protocols and equipment operation
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality images
Typical Responsibilities:
- Operate X-ray and radiographic equipment to perform a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by physicians
- Ensure patient safety through proper positioning, shielding, and adherence to established imaging protocols
- Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and image data within the hospital’s electronic records system
- Prepare and maintain imaging rooms, ensure cleanliness and readiness for subsequent patients
- Monitor equipment functionality, perform routine quality checks, and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure optimal imaging results and efficient workflow
- Provide compassionate care and assistance to patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
