Responsibilities include performing X-rays and radiographic procedures under the supervision of physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. You will collaborate with clinical teams to deliver timely, accurate diagnostic images essential for patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time hours
- Rotating shifts may be required, including evenings or weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality X-ray exams according to physicians’ orders and hospital protocols
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly, maintaining professionalism and empathy
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring correct alignment and technical accuracy
- Operate and calibrate radiology equipment, adhering strictly to safety guidelines
- Document and maintain patient imaging records in the PACS and EMR systems
- Maintain a sterile and organized imaging environment
- Support the imaging department with general tasks and troubleshooting equipment issues
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility
- 1+ year of clinical experience as an X-ray or Radiology Tech preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm in fast-paced settings and prioritize patient needs
