X-Ray Technologist - Bessemer, AL

Step into a dynamic role supporting a busy Radiology Diagnostics unit, utilizing your expertise as a Radiologic Technologist. This contract opportunity is ideal for a candidate looking to build on their imaging skills and gain valuable training coverage experience in a supportive clinical environment.

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour shifts (Day shift: Monday, Thursday, Friday, 7:00am – 7:30pm)
• Flexible start date options: 05/11/2026 or 05/26/2026
• No weekend shifts; on-call requirement to be discussed with the manager
• 8-week contract, with potential to extend to 10 weeks

Qualifications:

• Current and active registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• At least 2 years of experience as an X-ray or Radiology Tech, preferably within the last 3 years
• Minimum 1 year of travel assignment experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in both Operating Room and general radiographic procedures
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders and department protocols
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy
• Support operating room cases and adapt to high-volume needs
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout procedures
• Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and technologists within the radiology department
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through professional, empathetic interaction
