Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography
  • Valid state licensure for radiologic technologists (or eligibility)
  • Proficiency with X-ray equipment and digital imaging systems
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and radiation protection standards
  • Solid communication, organization, and patient care skills
  • Previous hospital or clinical imaging experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Operate X-ray and diagnostic radiology equipment to obtain high-quality images as ordered by physicians
  • Accurately position patients for a variety of imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Review and process images for clarity, proper identification, and diagnostic integrity
  • Uphold patient confidentiality, infection control, and safety protocols in accordance with facility policies
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the broader healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain imaging equipment and report malfunctions as needed
  • Document exam details and patient history in electronic medical records systems
