Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography
- Valid state licensure for radiologic technologists (or eligibility)
- Proficiency with X-ray equipment and digital imaging systems
- Current BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and radiation protection standards
- Solid communication, organization, and patient care skills
- Previous hospital or clinical imaging experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Operate X-ray and diagnostic radiology equipment to obtain high-quality images as ordered by physicians
- Accurately position patients for a variety of imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety
- Review and process images for clarity, proper identification, and diagnostic integrity
- Uphold patient confidentiality, infection control, and safety protocols in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the broader healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain imaging equipment and report malfunctions as needed
- Document exam details and patient history in electronic medical records systems
