Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Certification by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or eligibility to obtain
- Valid radiologic technologist license
- Proven experience working in radiology or imaging departments preferred
- Competence in operating x-ray equipment and producing clear, accurate diagnostic images
- Strong understanding of imaging safety protocols
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout
- Capture high-quality x-ray images for physician interpretation and diagnosis
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, addressing technical issues as needed
- Adhere to all HIPAA and safety standards within the imaging department
- Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain patient records
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for seamless patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, monitoring inventory and supply needs
