Advance your healthcare career by leveraging your radiologic expertise in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center environment. We are seeking an experienced Imaging professional to contribute high-quality care and dependable performance for a 13-week assignment. Under the supervision of a Radiologist, you will perform diagnostic radiologic procedures, prioritize patient safety, and ensure optimal imaging results in a collaborative setting.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 am – 7:30 pm, every other weekend rotation
Essential Qualifications:
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 6 months of recent experience in radiology tech roles
- Proficient in OR, ER, portable, and general radiologic examinations
- Strong reliability, dependability, and dedication to excellent patient care
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations, clearly explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Review clinical data and physician orders; perform appropriate radiologic exams using independent judgment for best techniques, positioning, and safety
- Set up procedure rooms and maintain inventory of necessary supplies
- Select and administer IV contrast as required, monitor for reactions, and provide immediate care if needed
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, including ALARA principles and patient shielding
- Maintain strict infection control and protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Carry out accurate documentation in medical records, PACS, and RIS systems to uphold clinical and compliance standards
- Assist in orienting and training new hires or students as needed, remaining fully responsible for assigned duties
