Advance your experience as a Radiologic Technologist by providing critical imaging services in a Level III Trauma Center. This contract position requires strong technical skills and compassionate patient care, and offers an engaging environment that utilizes your proficiency across operating room, emergency room, portable, and general radiology settings.
Schedule:
- 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- Every other weekend rotation
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT (R) certification
- Active BLS certification
- Minimum 6 months of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Proficiency in OR, ER, portable, and general radiology procedures
- Reliable and dependable, with a demonstrated commitment to excellent patient care
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate within a fast-paced trauma environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a radiologist, ensuring proper technique, safety, and high-quality imaging
- Explain procedures, prepare patients, and obtain relevant medical history to ensure optimal diagnostic results
- Maintain examination rooms; replenish supplies and ensure infection control protocols are followed
- Operate imaging equipment with independent judgment to achieve precise diagnostic images
- Prepare and administer intravenous contrast when required, monitoring for reactions and responding appropriately
- Consistently apply radiation safety principles, shielding, and ALARA practices to protect patients and staff
- Complete documentation, imaging records, and utilize PACS and RIS systems for image management and study tracking
- Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and patient care standards at all times
- Provide instruction or mentoring for new team members and students, as needed
