Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) | Detroit, Michigan

Opportunities are available for skilled Radiology Technologists who are passionate about providing high-quality imaging services. This contract position offers the chance to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential support to the radiology team and contributing to patient care.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• 14-week contract beginning June 29, 2026, ending October 2, 2026

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Radiologic Technology or X-ray Technology
• Current ARRT-R certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong understanding of radiologic procedures, equipment operation, and patient safety principles
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain examinations to patients
• Commitment to infection control and up-to-date clinical protocols

Responsibilities:

• Perform radiologic procedures as ordered, exercising independent judgment for best imaging results
• Prepare and position patients, review requisition data, and obtain additional patient history as needed
• Set up, operate, and sanitize radiological equipment; replenish procedure room supplies
• Practice radiation protection techniques and maintain sterilization and infection control standards
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for patient reactions, providing care if necessary
• Document all imaging studies, patient information, and relevant clinical data in the medical and radiology information systems (RIS/PACS)
• Provide guidance and training to students or new staff as required
• Collaborate with radiologists and other team members, ensuring open, effective communication and professional conduct at all times
