X-Ray Technologist | Detroit, Michigan

Exciting opportunity available for an experienced Radiology Technologist to provide essential imaging services in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is a contract position with a 14-week duration, beginning June 29, 2026, and ending October 2, 2026. The role is structured for 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
• 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiology or X-ray Technologist
• Active ARRT-R certification required
• Valid BLS certification required
• Strong command of radiographic techniques and safe imaging practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to foster a positive patient experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to perform diagnostic Radiologic procedures as ordered
• Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the exam
• Review and assess clinical data, confirming appropriate exam selection and patient medical history
• Prepare the procedure room, ensuring readiness of supplies and equipment
• Analyze patient anatomy, position patients, and apply proper technique for optimal image quality and patient safety
• Select and administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for possible reactions when required
• Practice ALARA and department protocols for radiation safety and infection control
• Accurately maintain patient records, imaging logs, and electronic records using PACS and RIS systems
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff or students when necessary
