Advance your imaging career as a skilled Radiologic Technologist, delivering high-quality radiology and X-ray services in a fast-paced Level III Trauma environment. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and offers a dynamic schedule of 7:00 am – 7:30 pm, including every other weekend rotation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 6 months of recent Radiology Tech/X-ray Tech experience
- Proficient in OR, ER, portable radiography, and general diagnostic radiology
- Strong commitment to patient care, with reliability, dependability, and effective communication skills
- Exceptional clinical judgment paired with technical accuracy
Schedule:
- 7:00 am – 7:30 pm shifts
- Every other weekend rotation
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiologic procedures under physician orders, applying sound judgment for technique and positioning
- Communicate exam procedures clearly to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding
- Analyze requisition data, review patient history, and select appropriate imaging protocols
- Set up and control imaging equipment, using immobilization and radiation safety techniques
- Administer and monitor intravenous contrast media when necessary, providing immediate support for any adverse reactions
- Uphold stringent infection control and patient privacy standards
- Maintain supply inventory and ensure procedure areas are properly stocked and organized
- Complete all required records, documentation, PACS image verification, and RIS study indexing with precision
- Educate and support new hires and students while managing daily responsibilities
- Collaborate with radiologists and serve as an engaged member of the clinical team, promoting a positive work environment
