Step into a crucial role as a Radiologic Technologist at a Level III Trauma Center, where your professional skills have a direct impact on patient care. This 13-week contract assignment involves the full spectrum of imaging services, collaborating closely with radiology specialists to deliver accurate and timely diagnostics.

Schedule:

  • 7:00am – 7:30pm, including every other weekend rotation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in an acute care setting
  • Confident in OR, ER, portable, and general radiology modalities
  • Reliable and dependable, with a record of excellent patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform radiologic procedures under Radiologist direction, utilizing precise technique and ensuring patient safety throughout each exam
  • Explain examination details to patients, answer questions, and offer compassionate care before, during, and after procedures
  • Review patient requisitions and histories, and tailor imaging protocols as needed for optimal diagnostic outcomes
  • Prepare and stock procedure rooms, maintain equipment, and uphold best practices in infection control
  • Select and administer intravenous contrast agents as appropriate, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions and acting swiftly if needed
  • Employ ALARA principles and radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff
  • Support departmental operations by maintaining accurate patient records, troubleshooting PACS/RIS imaging workflows, and ensuring complete documentation
  • Engage in mentoring new hires and students, fostering a supportive and innovative team environment
  • Consistently model standards of excellence, open communication, and respect for diversity
