Schedule:

  • 4 x 10-hour shifts each week, 07:00-17:30
  • Rotating day off

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality routine and advanced interventional radiographic procedures under physician request for radiologist interpretation.
  • Act as liaison among patients, radiologists, and the wider support team—ensuring clear communication and compassionate patient care.
  • Apply technical knowledge in radiography, positioning accuracy, and exposure technique to achieve precise diagnostic results.
  • Safeguard radiation safety and protection protocols for yourself, patients, and colleagues.
  • Prepare, administer, and document medication activities per state regulations and facility guidelines.
  • Assess patient readiness, verify identity, and confirm pregnancy and consent status before procedures.
  • Evaluate possible contraindications related to medications, patient history, and pre-procedure requirements.
  • Select and administer contrast agents as indicated by orders and patient assessments.
  • Mentor and train technologists, students, and staff in imaging procedures and safety.
  • Maintain inventory, uphold quality control, and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of interventional radiology experience (pediatric experience preferred)
  • ARRT certification required
  • Texas licensure (TMB) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Vascular-Interventional (VI) certification preferred
  • Strong grasp of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication skills and dedication to outstanding patient care
