Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Radiology Technologist (ARRT) required
- Valid state license to practice as a Radiology Tech
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in a hospital or large healthcare facility
- Proficiency in operating digital and conventional radiology equipment
- Strong knowledge of safety standards relating to radiation exposure
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication skills, with a patient-focused approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring adherence to prescriber’s orders and patient needs
- Accurately position patients to ensure high-quality images while optimizing patient comfort and safety
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment according to department protocols
- Support radiologists in reviewing and delivering diagnostic results promptly
- Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Uphold infection control procedures and safety standards throughout imaging processes
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns with empathy
