Radiology and CT Technologists with a passion for high-quality patient care are needed for a 13-week contract role within a hospital organization offering comprehensive imaging services and ER support.
Schedule:
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
- 11:30am – 10:00pm
- Participation in call rotation with departmental colleagues
Required Qualifications:
- Active ARRT certification
- Valid Kansas state license
- Minimum two years of radiology/CT experience
- Proficient in performing radiographic and CT procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct radiographic and CT examinations as ordered by providers, ensuring proper technique, voltage, current, and exposure time
- Determine, instruct and position patients appropriately to obtain optimal images
- Educate patients on procedural requirements and address any concerns
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required, adhering to protocols for intravenous or alternate body cavity delivery
- Maintain up-to-date technique charts in compliance with state regulations
- Operate portable radiographic equipment throughout the facility, including in critical care and surgical environments
- Perform safety checks and basic preventive maintenance on all imaging equipment
- Collaborate with nursing staff to confirm patient schedules, medications, and specific needs or restrictions
- Evaluate patient condition before imaging or administering contrast, ensuring safety and comfort
- Accurately chart medications and process requests for imaging billing purposes
