An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled Imaging professional with expertise in Radiology and CT technology. This position is ideal for a candidate looking to contribute their experience in a dynamic clinical environment, supporting essential diagnostic services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The contract commitment is 13 weeks.

Schedule/Hours

  • Four 10-hour shifts: 11:30am – 10:00pm
  • Participation in departmental call rotation alongside other team members

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT certification
  • KS Radiologic Technologist license
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, including CT procedures
  • Previous experience in a hospital imaging department preferred

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic and CT procedures as prescribed by physicians
  • Select appropriate technique settings, including voltage, current, and exposure times for optimal images
  • Position patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and image accuracy
  • Educate and guide patients through procedure requirements and safety
  • Prepare and administer contrast media via appropriate routes
  • Maintain up-to-date technique charts, ensuring full compliance with state regulations
  • Operate and maintain stationary and portable radiographic equipment, serving multiple care areas (ER, ICU, OR)
  • Ensure regular preventive maintenance and report equipment issues promptly
  • Liaise with nursing teams to confirm patient details, schedules, medications, and specific requirements
  • Monitor patient condition pre-procedure and during contrast administration
  • Record patient medications and ensure accurate billing by completing all X-ray requests
