Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) - Pike Road, Alabama

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts: Friday–Sunday, 6:30pm–7:00am
• Weekend rotation: Typically once a month (may change based on department needs)
• Holiday coverage: Required for one major and one minor holiday (varies per hospital policy)
• On-call: Voluntary

Requirements:

• Current ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on radiology tech experience (strong skill set required)
• First-time travelers welcome with at least 2 years’ relevant radiology experience
• Confident with fluoroscopy, surgical cases, portable, trauma, and diagnostic x-ray
• O-arm and DEXA experience preferred but not required
• Comfort floating within different areas of the main Radiology department
• Proficiency using GE, Siemens, and Carestream imaging equipment; experience with Cerner EMR

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality radiologic exams (fluoroscopy, surgical, trauma, portable, diagnostic x-ray) for adult and occasional pediatric patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in Cerner EMR system
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment, covering multiple patient types and fluctuating volumes
• Float as needed throughout the radiology department to meet patient-care demands
• Attend orientation: 1 eight-hour hospital session, followed by 2–3 unit-based training shifts
